Julia Campbell
My Background
Hi! I am a recent PhD graduate from the University of Michigan, Earth and Environmental Sciences department.
I primarily used global climate modeling (Community Earth System Model) and programming (Python, R, Julia, etc) to analyze geospatial changes in temperature, carbon sequestration, and the hydrological cycle under warming events.
I currently work as a Customer Success Lead for Offstream, a software start-up building compliant and successful carbon removal projects.
I devote my time to studying climatology, atmospheric and oceanic sciences, and carbon cycling in an interdisciplinary environment. My goal is to dedicate my life to creating a positive impact and mitigating climate change for the planet and its people.
My Interests
Other than work, I absolutely love traveling the world. Recent trips outside the US include India, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Costa Rica, and Kenya! When traveling, I prioritize National Park visits and hiking. When at home, I love to cook new vegan dishes, play video and board games, and practice learning Spanish and Mandarin.
